I feel Pommers is not the right captain and it is time to move on from Him.
As for Miller I am not sure he is the guy to win a stanley cup for the sabres.
If we can get some solid players for Miller then pull the trigger. Of course a Miller trade wont happen until the draft.

A "hometown discount" implies that he'd take less money to stay here than he would to go someplace else. He's still going to look for more than the $5.3 or whatever it is he's getting now. And that's simply too much for the lack of winning that's occurred while he's been under contract.

LA already has no first rounder this year. They weren't going to give up their 2nd as well. Couple that with the fact that Regehr had a full no-trade clause and could basically decide where he wanted to go, this falls under the category of "there are many things you can criticize Darcy Regier for, but this isn't one of them".
